Golden Gate [X]press Article
Here's an article written about Sports Club Funding at our school. We should be getting some more photos from their staff photographer Samantha Battles. Keep up the good work you guys and look for more opportunities to help us expand our club.

Fall 2012
Hello everyone,
I hope you all had a good summer but we're back to school now. Unfortunately we have classes but fortunately we all get to get back in the pool. Now there are a number of things that need to be taken care of before we can actually do this.
1. We, as a Sports Club, are on probation for not getting enough points during the Spring semester. What this means is that we are limited to practicing only one time a week and are denied access to any funding from Campus Recreation. I didn't even know about the point system until half way through the semester but we can get off of probation if we accumulate 50 points by November. This is easy and I think it could be done within 2 weeks if we really work our butts off. Why so soon?
2. Because we aren't allowed more than one practice per week until we are off, we aren't allowed to register for the CWPA, which also means we aren't able to compete/scrimmage against any other schools. Don't get me wrong, I love to scrimmage with all of you guys but we lack numbers and I personally enjoy the competition. Which brings me to
3. I am only available to practice Monday or Tuesday nights which is a problem for a few people. Until we get off probation practice will need to be on one of those nights just so I can be present and keep everyone updated. After we are off probation, we can schedule other dates to accommodate everyone else's schedule and I won't need to be present.
Until that time though I am pretty much trying to set this up alone so please bear with me for how long it's taking. I know everyone else is having some trouble balancing school and work and a social life but if anyone could help me out with some of these responsibilities it would be an enormous weight off my shoulders. Email me, call me, text me, or better yet talk to me in person because I just want to get in the water.
Welcome back everyone,
-Ben
